Rolf Faber

Rolf Faber (* 1946 in Wiesbaden ) is a German lawyer and local researcher.

Career

Faber was a judge at the Wiesbaden Regional Court . In 1991 he went to Erfurt to support the establishment of the justice administration in Thuringia after the political change. Most recently, he was Head Ministerial Councilor in the Thuringian Ministry of Justice.

Since 1970 he has published numerous articles on the history of Wiesbaden city and Biebrich local history. In 1974 he presented a local chronicle for Biebrich on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary, and a chronicle for Mosbach in 1991 for the 1000th anniversary . He also wrote on the national and legal history of Nassau.

In 1982 he was accepted into the Historical Commission for Nassau , where he became a member of the board in 2009. Since 2009 he has also been chairman of the Association for Nassau Antiquities and Historical Research and since 2010 a member of the Commission for the History of the Jews in Hesse .
