Rolf Fuhrmann

Rolf Harald "Rollo" Fuhrmann (born August 5, 1949 ) is a German sports journalist .

life and career

Fuhrmann was originally a secondary school teacher for German and geography. As a conscientious objector, he first went to the Red Cross and had various jobs as a taxi driver, in schools and as a presenter on Radio 107 .

In 1991 Fuhrmann applied to Premiere (today Sky Deutschland ) and worked there from 1992 to 2017.

Fuhrmann worked as a so-called field reporter and primarily interviewed footballers on the sidelines. He became known to a broad public.

Reporter of Pain

Fuhrmann became known throughout Germany as the “reporter of pain” when he congratulated the Schalke players and officials on the German championship in the summer of 2001 , even though the game of FC Bayern Munich was not yet over. With a goal in stoppage time, Munich became German champions and Gelsenkirchner sank into grief and pain.
