Rolf Kriesi

Rolf Kriesi (* 1937 ; † 2000 ) was a Swiss wine author.

life and work

In 1980, Kriesi founded the magazine Vinum in Zurich , of which he was the publisher and editor-in-chief until his death in 2000. During this time he developed the magazine into one of the most important wine magazines in Europe. Since 1983 he has also published a Vinum edition for Germany at Intervinum AG . In 1998, Vinum was the wine magazine with the highest circulation in Europe, with 43,500 subscribers and 8,000 copies in kiosks. Shortly before his death, he developed the K-Gourmet magazine for the KI publishing group in Zurich .

Kriesi was the editor and author of numerous books on the subject of wine. He died in a swimming accident in Corfu in 2000 .
