Rolf Schneider (medical pedagogue)

Rolf Schneider is a German medical educator and alternative practitioner.

Life

Schneider has a doctorate in education and has completed master’s courses in higher education and complementary medicine with a focus on classical homeopathy and medical ethnology . He has been training alternative practitioners since 1992. He is the director of the Academy for Complementary Medicine and Medical Education at the Steinbeis University in Berlin as well as the founder and managing director of the Rolf Schneider Academy with its headquarters in Kitzingen , a state-recognized institution for continuing education with locations in eleven German cities. In addition to various alternative practitioner training courses there is u. a. Further training in monastery medicine and phytotherapy was also offered in collaboration with the research group for monastery medicine founded by the medical historian Johannes Gottfried Mayer .

Schneider wrote several textbooks to prepare for the alternative practitioner examination (a safety test) and developed six state-approved distance learning courses. He founded the Homeopathy Center Bavaria and later the competence center for traditional Chinese medicine and Far Eastern healing methods. He also founded the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania regional association of the Union of German Heilpraktiker and was its 1st chairman.
