Rolf Wettstädt

Rolf Wettstädt (* 1951 in Berlin ) is a German politician.

In 1967 Wettstädt did an agricultural apprenticeship, in 1970 his Abitur. He then worked as a volunteer and editorial assistant, studied journalism and received his diploma. He then worked as an editor at the BZ , exhibition designer, milker, LPG member, in press and public relations at the central office of the trade fairs of tomorrow's masters, as well as a tractor operator, director of public relations at the state theaters of Saxony and truck driver. Until December 1990 he was head of the press department at the district administration authority in Potsdam and from January to July 1991 Wettstädt was head of department in the press office of the State Chancellery.

From 1969 to 1973 Wettstädt was a member of the NDPD . In 1975 he was a candidate for the SED , but turned it down. In October 1989 he joined the New Forum party , where he was district spokesman until autumn 1990. From November 1989 he was spokesman for the round table. From February 1990 he was a district councilor or district council member in Königs Wusterhausen . He was a member of the main committee and later also of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . On October 15, 1991 Wettstädt joined the Brandenburg state parliament . He moved up for the resigned Bernd Reuter .
