The 1999 season was the sixth played season of Roller Hockey International . The 1998 season was canceled due to financial problems of the league and the teams. The regular season began for the eight teams in May 1999 and ended in September. There were 26 games to play, the best six teams qualified for the play-offs , which lasted until September. The sixth and, for the time being, last Murphy Cup winner were the St. Louis Vipers , who beat the Anaheim Bullfrogs 8: 6 in the final .
