The 1993 season was the first season of the newly founded Roller Hockey International . The regular season for the 12 teams began in June 1993 and ended in August. There were 14 games to play, the best eight teams qualified for the play-offs , which lasted until September 7th. The first Murphy Cup winner was the Anaheim Bullfrogs , who prevailed in the Best of Three final series against the Oakland Skates with 2–0.
