Rollover cable

A rollover cable is a network cable used to connect a computer to the console port of a network device , such as a computer . B. a router , an access point or a firewall . This is a proprietary format from Cisco Systems, Inc. as an alternative to the nine-pin connector on the serial interface . The cable is usually flat and blue and has RJ-45 plugs. You can tell that the connector is upside down on one end. It is commonly used for maintenance tasks on network devices.
