Rolls-Royce 102EX is a concept vehicle from the manufacturer Rolls-Royce .

The vehicle was presented by Rolls-Royce at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show . The 102EX is essentially based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom . As a decisive difference, however, the concept vehicle has two electric motors with an output of 145 kW each instead of the V12 gasoline engine. Instead of the petrol tank, these are located on the rear axle. Instead of the motor, the charging technology and batteries are located on the front axle. This division is intended to achieve a driving behavior similar to that of a conventional drive.

Externally, in addition to a special paintwork (more than twice as many layers of paint are applied as usual), the 102EX only differs from the series model in a few details: The Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament is made of Makrolon and is illuminated in blue when stationary. This feature is now optionally available in the production model. The transparent cover of the 3-phase charging socket is located in place of the fuel filler flap.
