Roman Holowaschtschenko ( Ukrainian Роман Головащенко * 16th October 1987 in Nemyriw , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian professional boxer in the cruiserweight division .

Career

The left wingman made his debut in 2007. He was able to win his first four fights all by knockout . In his fifth fight he suffered his first and so far only defeat on October 3, 2008 against Varol Vekiloglu; he lost prematurely in an 8-round fight in the 5th round.

In 2009, Holovashchenko won the vacant world title of the insignificant association GBC and the equally vacant international title of the likewise insignificant association IBO with a victory over Frank Kary Roth . He defended both belts the following year in a fight against Patrick Berger by TKo

In 2016 he defeated the Georgian Gogita Gorgiladze in round 9 with a technical knockout and thus captured the vacant East / West Europe title of the IBF .

In May 2017, Holovashchenko competed against Kai Kurzawa for the vacant IBO intercontinental title and won in round 2 through TKo
