Roman Jozef Jakóbczak (born February 26, 1946 in Września ) is a former Polish football player .
Career
society
Jakóbczak began his career in the youth team of the Zjednoczeni Września club in his hometown. His first position in the senior sector was in Czarni Żagań in 1965 , before moving to Śląsk Wrocław after just one year . After three seasons in Lower Silesia , he joined Pogoń Stettin in 1969 . In 1972 he moved to Lech Posen . For this club he completed 112 league games in five years, in which he scored 33 goals.
After he was given the opportunity to move abroad at the age of 30, he went to France in 1976 , where he played for four different clubs in four seasons.
In the summer of 1980 Jakóbczak returned to Lech Poznan, but did not play any more league games. After a 2-0 defeat against his former club Pogoń Stettin on September 10, 1980 and the associated elimination from the Polish cup competition , he ended his professional career.
Trainer
From April to October 1993 Roman Jakóbczak took over the coaching position at Lech Posen and led the club to the championship of the 1992/93 season.
National team
Between 1974 and 1976 Jakóbczak played five games for the Polish national team , in which he scored two goals.
At the Football World Cup 1974 he was part of the squad of the Polish team, but was not used in the course of the tournament.
