Roman Jankowiak

Roman Jankowiak (born December 10, 1914 in Poznan ; † May 16, 1983 there ) was a Polish conductor and music teacher .

Jankowiak studied at the music academy in his hometown, graduated there in 1950 as an organist and completed his training as a conductor with Valerian Bierdiajew in 1953 . He was first conductor at the Teatr Komedii Muzycznej , from 1956 at the newly opened operetta theater and from 1973 to 1983 at the Teatr Muzyczny in Poznan. He also taught at the city's music school for many years.
