Roman Ogaza

Roman Grzegorz Ogaza (born November 17, 1952 in Katowice , † March 4, 2006 in Forbach , France ) was a Polish football player .

The striker began his career in 1965 with Górnik Lędziny . This club later merged and was henceforth called GKS Tychy . The next clubs were then Górnik Zabrze (1968-1970) and Szombierki Bytom (1970-1975 and 1978-1983), with whom he won the 1980 Polish championship. He then moved to France and played with RC Lens (1983-1984) and Olympique d ' Alès (1984-1986), US Forbach (1987-1991) and SG Marienau (1991). In between he played in 1986 for the Belgian club Royal Francs Borains (1986).

His national team career began in 1974 when they faced Haiti in Port-au-Prince on April 13th . He was not yet used in the World Cup held in the Federal Republic of Germany the following summer. At the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, however, he was in the Polish squad and brought home a silver medal. On February 23, 1981, his career in the national team ended in the game against Portugal. It was his 21st mission for the Polish team. In total, he scored six goals for Poland.
