Romeu Leite

Romeu Leite (born May 28, 1984 in Zurich ) is a Portuguese soccer goalkeeper and player for FC Wohlen .

Romeu Leite began his football career at FC Zurich as a field player. When he was twelve years old, the regular goalkeeper injured himself in an indoor tournament and as an alternative, Leite had to go into goal. The team won the tournament and Leite was named the best goalkeeper.

He went through all junior categories at FC Zurich and was the goalkeeper of the U-21 team ( 1st division ) until 2005 . He made a name for himself especially in 2004 at the Fifa Youth Cup . The Portuguese showed his talent with numerous parades. In 2005 Romeo Leite was loaned to FC Wohlen ( Challenge League ), and in spring 2007 to YF Juventus . In the summer of 2007 he moved to FC Wohlen with a 3-year contract.
