The Rommerich nature reserve is located in the Roetgen area .
description
Here is a largely natural stream that is lined with a narrow alder population . The adjoining pastureland is used intensively. In the west there is a near-natural pond with sedges.
Protection purpose
The habitats for many plants, fungi and animals in North Rhine-Westphalia that are endangered according to the Red List are to be protected .
The objectives are the conservation and development of the following natural habitats in accordance with Annex I of the Habitats Directive:
These biotope types to be protected can be found in this area: springs, wet and humid grassland, near-natural and undeveloped stream sections.
