Romualdas Kęstutis Urbaitis
Romualdas Kęstutis Urbaitis (born February 27, 1942 in Berštupis , Marijampolė Rajon , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, judge and President of the Constitutional Court of the Lithuanian Republic (2011-2014) and a former judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
Life
In 1968 Urbaitis graduated from Vilnius University with a law degree . From 1968 to 1982 he worked as a judge in the district courts of Soviet Lithuania. From 1984 to 1993 he was a lawyer , then a judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania , after its reorganization a judge in the Kaunas District Court , from 1999 in the Supreme Court of Lithuania and from 2005 to 2014 a judge at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania (from 2011 to 2014 as judge).
He and his wife have a son.
