Ronald "Ron" Grenda (born November 13, 1938 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian track cyclist .
Ron Grenda was a track cyclist who mostly competed in six-day races. Between 1960 and 1966 he started in 17 six-day races, of which he won three. He also won the Australian sprint championship three times , and in 1971 he won the popular domestic road race Latrobe Wheel Race .
Ron Grenda comes from a cycling family. His cousin Alfred Grenda was also a six-day driver, his son is Michael Grenda and his grandson is Ben Grenda .
Honors
In 1963 Grenda was awarded the Sir Hubert Opperman Trophy as Australia's "Cyclist of the Year".
