Ron Whitney

Ron Whitney (actually Ronald Howard Whitney ; born October 5, 1942 in Modesto ) is a former American hurdler who specialized in the 400-meter distance .

In 1965 he won bronze at the Universiade in Budapest, and in 1967 he won the Pan-American Games in Winnipeg and the Universiade in Tokyo.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was sixth. In the run-up he set his personal best with 49.0 seconds.

In 1967 and 1968 he was US champion over 440 yard hurdles and 400 m hurdles.
