The Rondeelteich is a round pond in Hamburg-Winterhude . It has a diameter of 140 meters. The towpath canal ends in the west, and in the south the Rondeel Canal with the Goldbek Canal as a branch leads to the north end of the Outer Alster, around 400 meters away .
In the course of the development of the area around Winterhude by Adolph Sierich (1826–1889) in the 1860s, the Rondeelteich was created together with the Rondeel Canal , the Leinpfad Canal , the Mühlenkamp Canal and part of the Goldbek Canal .
The pond is bordered by private properties with urban villas on Blumenstrasse in the west, Maria-Louisen-Strasse in the northwest and Rondeel Strasse from northeast to southeast. Public access is therefore only possible from the water. Especially at the weekend there are many rowing and paddle boats on the pond. The Rondeelteich is also regularly visited by the Alster steamers of ATG Alster-Touristik GmbH on their canal trips.
