Adolph Sierich , also Adolf (born April 26, 1826 in Hamburg ; † May 7, 1889 in Hamburg-Winterhude ) was a German goldsmith and landowner in Winterhude.

Life

The son of the goldsmith Johann Friedrich Bernhard Sierich and his wife Anna Dorothea Meyer learned their father's trade. In 1839 he had bought a farm in Winterhude. After the death of his father in 1850, the farm became the basis for the establishment and expansion of Winterhude for Sierich, which has belonged to Hamburg since 1894. In 1854 Adolph Sierich bought a new farm on the Krohnskamp on Barmbeker Straße. There he built the Sierich Villa , two huge barns and some cottages. The villa was demolished in 1957. The Goldbek Canal was made navigable by Sierich in the early 1860s to promote the industrial development of Winterhude.
