Ronen Altman Kaydar

Ronen Elimelech Altman Kaydar (born October 1, 1972 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli author , poet and translator .

After graduating with a BA in Mathematics and Physics from Tel Aviv University , Altman completed his military service. He then studied history and philosophy of science in Tel Aviv and graduated with an MA .

Altman-Kaydar is a graduate of the 'Helicon' poetry school (1997), where his poems were first published. His first novel Chaos Butterflies was published in 2000 , and his first volume of poetry, Bite Marks , was published in 2007. His poems have been translated into English and Russian. The Israeli composer Avner Dorman set two of them to music; they were performed at a music festival in Görlitz .

Altman-Kaydar and Anat Avissar have been the publisher of the online magazine Zuta since April 2009 . He was the first to translate the works of Masha Kaléko into Hebrew and publish them. His last project was the edition of the poetry book The Wilds of Days by Inbal Cahansky. Altman-Kaydar is also co-writer of the make-up screenplay .
