Ronsangels.com was a website founded in 1999 by the American erotic photographer Ron Harris (1933–2017) , which pretended to auction the eggs of eight beautiful young women .

Seed or Eibanken with online delivery, it had already been given previously, ronsangels.com however, was the first case did not require fixed prices. Harris justified this step by stating that not all women are created equal, that beauty is always the highest offer in contemporary society and that there should be no limits on how young women can earn money. Starting offers were $ 15,000 and related solely to the eggs themselves; the website did not offer any medical services.

The participating women gave various reasons for auctioning their egg cells, including not being dependent on a man, using the proceeds to support their own four-year-old son or simply wanting to help others. One woman said she wanted to move to the United States.

According to American law the trade with human organs illegal, but not with egg and sperm .

The website received more than five million hits within a few days. However, it quickly turned out to be a hoax intended as a marketing gimmick to draw attention to Harris' main business, the Eroticboxoffice.com , RonHarris.com and 14 other pornography websites he ran . There was never an auction or an egg transfer.
