Florian Rötzer

Florian Rötzer (born  December 20, 1953 in Landshut ) is a German journalist.

Life

Rötzer studied philosophy in Munich . He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of the online magazine Telepolis . Before he became editor at Heise-Verlag in 1996 , Rötzer worked as a freelance author and publicist with a focus on media theory and aesthetics and as an organizer of numerous international symposia.

Rötzer has published several volumes in the journal Kunstforum International , including "Art and Philosophy", Volume 100 (1989), "From the Utopia of Collective Art", Volume 116 (1991), "The New Image of the World", Volume 124 ( 1993), “The Future of the Body” I and II, Volume 132 (1995) and Volume 133 (1996), “Art and War”, Volume 165 (2003).

Rötzer is the editor of the Telepolis book series at dpunkt.verlag and the Telepolis ebooks.
