Ropelv

Ropelv is a place in the municipality of Sør-Varanger in the province of Troms og Finnmark , Norway . The place is in the north of the municipality, about 7 kilometers north of Kirkenes at the mouth of the Ropelva River in the Bøkfjord . A hiking trail leads to the lighthouse Bøkfjord fyr , which marks the southern entrance to the Varangerfjord .

Arctic char rearing is an important local employer.
