Rory Gibbs

Rory Gibbs (born April 3, 1994 ) is a British rower . He was European champion in 2019.

Career

Gibbs was fifth in eighth at the U23 World Championships in 2015 , and in 2016 he also achieved fifth place with the four-man with helmsman .

In 2019 the British four-man was reassembled without a helmsman . In the line-up of Oliver Cook , Matthew Rossiter , Rory Gibbs and Sholto Carnegie, the British won the European Championships in Lucerne ahead of the Poles and the Germans. In the World Cup , the British took fourth place in Poznan and second in Rotterdam. At the end of August at the World Championships in Linz, the Poles won ahead of the Romanians, behind them the British rowed the bronze medal.
