Rosa Weber

Rosa Weber (born October 30, 1919 in Vienna ; † July 24, 1967 in an accident on the Grossglockner ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

The trained accountant Rosa Weber was from 1963 to 1967 women's officer of the ÖGB and was a member of the National Council from 1959 to 1967 , where she dealt in numerous applications with family burdens, child benefits, sales tax reform and unemployment insurance.

Rosa Weber was also the chairwoman of the “Association for Consumer Information” and from 1965 until her tragic death she was deputy chairman of the SPÖ- Floridsdorf .

The residential complex named after her in Floridsdorf

In Floridsdorf, the Rosa-Weber-Hof residential complex built between 1965 and 1967 by the “Junge Generation” housing association and, in 2011, the Rosa-Weber-Weg, which runs right through the Groß Jedlersdorf allotment garden association, were named after her.
