Rosalia batesi is a species of the genus Rosalia from the longhorn beetle family (Cerambycidae) that occurs in East Asia and is related to the alpine buck ( Rosalia alpina ).

features

The 25 to 28 millimeter large beetle is similar to the alpine buck. However, the bumps on the sides of the pronotum are much less pronounced. On the pronotum, Rosalia batesi has two black marks lying one behind the other, the rear one of which may be missing. The wing covers have three black transverse bands that lack the light border.

Occurrence

The species occurs in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. It develops in beech and walnut.
