Roscius
Roscius (female form Roscia ; Germanized Roscier ) was the gentile name of a Roman clan, the gens Roscia , which, with the exception of the mention of a single representative - Lucius Roscius, who lived in the 5th century BC. Is said to have lived in BC -, can only be proven in the time of the late republic and the imperial era . Members of the family, many of which are documented in inscriptions, only came to the consulate during the imperial era . Often they came from the places Lanuvium or Ameria .
