Rosenschlößl
The Rosenschlößl is a small castle with servants' quarters on the Rosenberg in the eleventh Grazer district Mariatrost . The " Rosenschlößlweg " has been named after this building since 1948 .
History and design
In 1912 it was built according to the plans of the town builders and architects W. Burgstaller and A. Zauner as a two-storey, free-standing building with a structure that is strongly structured by bay windows, loggias, projections and recesses. The steep roof contains the tower room and mansard. The facade shows a transition from historicism to modernity. In 1956 the building was completely restored and a tower and a winter garden were added, in which there is a stucco ceiling with putti by the sculptor Erwin Huber . There are also sculptures by Erwin Huber on the facade and in the surrounding gardens. A putti relief on the facade has been preserved from the time it was built.
