Roshen ( Ukrainian Рошен , Roschen ) is an international Ukrainian confectionery manufacturer founded in 1996 in Kiev . The name is derived from the former Ukrainian president and owner of Roshen, Petro Poroshenko .
history
In July 2013, Russia stopped all imports of Roshen. Before that, the Russian Federation was the main buyer of around 40% of all Roshen products. Roshen's annual production in 2012 was around 410,000 tons of confectionery. This placed Roshen in 18th place in the top 100 list of the confectionery industry.
Besides Russia, the main customer countries for Roshen products are Azerbaijan , Armenia , Canada , Germany , Estonia , Latvia , Lithuania , Moldova , Israel , Kyrgyzstan , Uzbekistan and the United States .
Company locations
In addition to Kiev, there are other well-known company locations in Bershad , Kremenchuk , Klaipėda , Kaliningrad , Lipetsk , Mariupol and Vinnytsia .
