Rostislav Sionko (born September 3, 1953 in Ostrava ) is a former Czech football player and football coach .

Life

Rostislav Sionko started playing football at Baník Ostrava . In the 1968/69 season he made the leap into the first team. With Baník, the striker won the Czechoslovak Championship in 1975/76 and the Czech Cup in 1977/78. Then Sionko moved to city rivals TJ Vítkovice , whom he helped to rise to the first division in 1980/81. After the 1981/82 season, Sionko moved again within the city to the then second division club VOKD Poruba, in 1983 the attacker ended his career. In the 1st Czechoslovak League Sionko completed a total of 118 games in which he scored 20 goals.

Sionko won the Czechoslovak Championship as coach of the A-Juniors from Baník Ostrava in 1990/91. Then he coached the third division MSA Dolní Benešov and the second division Baník Havířov. Rostislav Sionko is the father of professional footballers Libor Sionko and Radek Sionko .
