Rotaria macroceros is a kind of the genus Rotaria from the root of the rotifers .
description
The animals are 250-300 µm in size and have a smooth cuticle . Their trunk is short, the dorsal button is relatively long and pointed forward when swimming.

The species is found in bog ditches and ponds . The animals form whole societies in detritus nests .
