The Rotch Dome is a 360 m high, snow-covered and domed mountain in the western part of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises just east of the Byers Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1958 after the brothers William (1734-1828) and Francis Rotch (1750-1822), American whaling entrepreneurs in Nantucket and New Bedford , who were among the pioneers of whaling in the Antarctic.
