The Rote See is a lake in the urban area of Brüel in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania within the Sternberg lake landscape .

The lake was created in the Pomeranian season of the Vistula Ice Age between the sand of the main ice edge and the ground moraine of the maximum ice advance. It lies in a depression with steep banks.

With an extension of about five hundred meters in an east-west direction, the body of water has a width of about 220 meters and an area of ​​seven hectares. The water surface is 23.1  m above sea level. NHN . The area around the lake is wooded. Fishing is possible. Due to its attractive surroundings and clean water, the lake serves as a local recreation area for the city of Brüel. On the bank there is a bathing establishment, a boat rental, a log cabin with a restaurant and a campsite. The settlement and the manor house Kronskamp are not far from the lake.
