Rotger from Aschebrock

Rotger von Aschebrock (* unknown; † unknown) was canon in Hildesheim and Münster .

Life

Rotger von Aschebrock was born as the son of Georg von Aschebrock zu Malenburg and his wife Hedwig von Westrem zu Sümmern. With the receipt of the tonsure on November 5, 1606, he was prepared for a spiritual life. He received the minor ordinations and on December 10, 1606 became a subdeacon . He was already a canon in Hildesheim when he takes on 21 October 1612 for the Münstersche Dompräbende was presented. On December 12, Rotger took possession of the cathedral canon , which Heinrich von Düngelen had previously waived. With the revolt to the families Aschebrock, Billerbeck, Recke and Westrem in 1613 he was emancipated. Rotger remained in the possession of the benefice until 1617. It is not known whether he died that year or whether he renounced.
