Wilhelm Roux's Archive for Development Mechanics of Organisms (subtitle: Organ for the entire causal morphology ) is a scientific journal that was published from 1925 to 1975 by the publishers Bergmann (Munich) and Springer (Berlin / Heidelberg and others).

history

The journal was founded in 1894 by Wilhelm Roux (1850-1924) under the title Archive for Development Mechanics of Organisms . Since then it has appeared under a name that has changed several times until today. Its predecessor was the archive for microscopic anatomy and development mechanics .

Frequency of publication

Volume 105 was published in May 1925 and volume 142 in April 1944. After an interruption at the end of the war and in the first post-war years, volume 143 was published in October 1949. For the last time, the 176th volume was published under this title for 1974/75.

From 1975 to 1985 (Volume 177-194) the journal was entitled Wilhelm Roux's archives of developmental biology. The official organ of the EDBO (EDBO = European Developmental Biology Organization) published. Since 1985 it has been called Roux's archives of developmental biology .
