Roxx Gang was founded in 1985 in Tampa , Florida by singer Kevin Steele and guitarist Eric Carrol. After several line-up changes, the band received a record deal in 1987. In 1988 they released their debut album, Things You've Never Done Before . It was produced by Beau Hill and has sold 250,000 copies worldwide. After internal disputes and problems with the record company, the group disbanded in 1991. Steele later formed a new version of the band, which released other glam metal albums with much less success. Towards the end of the nineties the band began to play blues rock under the name "Mojo Gurus", initially in addition to their appearances as "Roxx Gang", later exclusively.
