from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The three Royal Hill Cairns are located on the slopes of Royal Hill, southeast of Princetown in County Devon in England .

The best preserved is Cairn 3 with its almost complete curb circle.

Cairn 4 is a round cairn about 6.0 m in diameter with several preserved curbs. In the middle is a large stone box about 1.0 × 1.0 m, the capstone of which has been moved to the edge.

Cairn 5 is located about 100 meters north of Cairn 4. The largely worn out small Cairn has a complete stone ring about 3.0 m in diameter around a central box. The rectangular stone box measures around 1.5 × 0.5 meters, with the large side panels falling inward and the capstone missing.

Nearby is the stone box Joan Ford's Newtake .
