Rubén Adán González , full name Rubén Adán González Acosta , (born July 17, 1939 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Player career

society

Defensive player González belonged to the squad of the Montevidean club Nacional in the Primera División from 1957 to 1963 . 1964 both a station at Vélez Sársfield and the Boca Juniors are recorded. For the latter club he was also active in the following year. In 1966 he returned to Nacional. During the times of his association with the Bolsos , they won the national championship title in 1957, 1963 and 1966. In 1965 he became Argentine champion with the Boca Juniors.

National team

González was also a member of the senior team of Uruguay , for which he completed eleven international matches between May 2, 1959 and August 15, 1962. He did not score an international goal. With the Celeste he took part in the second game of the South American Championship in Ecuador in December of that year in 1959 , in which he contributed to the Uruguayans' title win in four matches. He also participated in the 1962 World Cup on the Uruguayan side. There he was not used in any of the three group games.
