Rubén Silva (born April 18, 1955 in La Paz ) is a Bolivian-Polish conductor.

Silva studied at the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo and at the Conservatory of his hometown. In 1975 he became conductor of the conservatory orchestra and founded a youth symphony orchestra. From 1978 to 1983 he studied with Stanisław Wisłocki at the Warsaw Music Academy on a scholarship from the Polish government . In 1983 he was a prize winner of the Third International Grzegorz-Fitelberg Competition in Katowice.

From 1983 to 1992 and again from 1997 he was conductor at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. Between 1994 and 1997 he worked as artistic director at the opera houses of Wroclaw and Cracow and the Koszalin Philharmonic. Between 1997 and 2000 he worked in Belgrade with the Roma Music Theater and the Chamber Opera. In 2000 he became director of the Warsaw Youth Philharmonic and in 2005 artistic director of the Koszalin Philharmonic. Since 2008 he has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of Bogota, and in 2009 he became first guest conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Bolivia in La Paz.

In the 2002–03 season, Silva was music director at Teatr Wielki in Łódź. Since 2013 he has been artistic director of the Warsaw Chamber Opera. He has appeared as a guest conductor with most of the major Polish symphony orchestras (including the Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonia Varsovia and the Warsaw National Philharmonic). He participated in festivals in Europe and Japan and gave concerts in most of the European countries; In 2012 he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland in Lebanon and South America .
