The Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” (UCB) is a Catholic private university in Bolivia .

history

The UCB was founded in 1966 by the Bolivian Bishops' Conference . It offers courses in the fields of humanities, law, economics and engineering. The head office is in La Paz , branches are in Cochabamba , Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Tarija . There is also a small branch near Campamento in the Bolivian Yungas , where part of the undergraduate degree can be completed in Catholic theology and some humanities subjects . The branch is currently managed by Franciscans. Through a special agreement with the Bolivian Ministry of Defense , students can do their military service there during the semester break.
