Xindian culture
The Xindian culture ( Chinese 辛店 文化 , Pinyin Xīndiàn Wénhuà , English Xindian Culture ) was a Bronze Age culture in the Gansu and Qinghai provinces in China. It is named after the Xindian site in Lintao , which was discovered in 1923-24 . The culture was mainly in Gansu on the middle and lower Tao He洮河, the Daxia He大 夏河, and in Qinghai in the catchment area of the Huang Shui湟 水. The culture was predominantly agricultural, the bronze casting was known. According to the radiocarbon method , the Xindian culture is estimated to date from around 1000 BC. Dated to the (western) Zhou period of the Zhongyuan area (on the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River ).
