Beixin culture
The Beixin culture ( Chinese 北 辛 文化 , Pinyin Běixīn wénhuà ), which, according to its site, Beixin dates from 5400 to 4400 BC. BC, was a Neolithic culture in Shandong , People's Republic of China and has close ties to the Dawenkou culture .
The eponymous site on the lower reaches of the Yellow River was discovered in 1964 in the village of Beixin ( Beixin cun北 辛 村) in the southeast of Tengzhou (腾 州) and was excavated from 1978 to 1979.
The Beixin site (Běixīn yízhǐ 北 辛 遗址) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-105) since 2006 .
