Qingliangang culture
The Qingliangang culture ( Chinese 青莲 岗 文化 , Pinyin Qīngliángǎng Wénhuà , English Qingliangang Culture ) was a Neolithic culture in China. The eponymous Qingliangang site was discovered in 1951 near Huai'an , Jiangsu Province. It was mainly found in the lower reaches of the Yangtze and Huai He rivers . It is dated 5400-4400 BC. Dated.
Their pottery was mainly red ceramics, there were also gray and black. Vessels with three feet and those with ring feet are widespread. To stone tools there adze (Ben锛), Ax (fǔ斧), hoe (chú锄), knives (dāo刀), spindle whorls (fǎnglún)纺轮etc. The economic life consisted mainly of agriculture as well as fishing, hunting and gathering were practiced. There are considerable differences between the remnants of the cultures on the southern and northern banks of the Yangtze , usually those north of the Yangtze are assigned to the Dawenkou culture , those south of it to the Majiabang culture .
