Xinkailiu culture
The Xinkailiu culture ( Chinese 新 开 流 文化 , Pinyin Xinkailiu wenhua , English Xinkailiu culture ) was a Neolithic culture in northeast China (Manchuria). Jixi in Heilongjiang Province is considered to be their area of origin . Fishing was an important economic factor. The eponymous Xinkailiu site (Xinkailiu yizhi 新 开 流 遗址 ) in the east of Jixi is located in Mishan County ( 密 山 县 ) between the Large and Small Xingkai Lakes ( Da Xingkai Hu 大 兴凯湖 or Xiao Xingkai Hu 小 兴凯湖 ) . She was first examined by the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum in 1972 .
