Baodun culture
The Baodun culture ( Chinese 寶 墩 文化 / 宝 墩 文化 , Pinyin Bǎodūn wénhuà ) is a late Neolithic culture in the Chengdu Plain of the Sichuan Basin in China . It is dated from 2500 to 1700 BC. Dated. The sites discovered are among the oldest settlements on the Chengdu Plain.
The eponymous Baodun-site is located in the village Baodun (Baoduncun宝墩村) of the municipality of Longma龙马乡the circle Xinjin the sub-provincial city of Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan .
In the field Chengdu's five other centers of culture were discovered: the Mangcheng-site (Mangchangcun芒城村in Dujiangyan都江堰), the Shuanghe-site (Shuanghecun双河村in Chongzhou崇州), the Zizhu-site (Zizhucun紫竹村in Chongzhou) the Gucheng site (Guchengcun 古城 村 in Pi郫县) and the Yufu site (Yufucun 鱼 凫 村 in Wenjiang温江). Baodun the largest of the mentioned sites. The pottery is similar to that of Sanxingdui .
The sites of the prehistoric cities of the Chengdu Plain (Chengdu Pingyuan shiqian chengzhi 成都平原 史前 城 址) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001 .
