Chengbeixi culture
The Chengbeixi culture ( 城 背 溪 文化 , Chengbeixi wenhua , English Chengbeixi Culture ) was a Neolithic culture on the central reaches of the Yangtze River in China . It is dated to 5800-4700 BC. Dated. It was followed by the Daxi culture .
The eponymous Chengbeixi site (城 背 溪 遗址 Chengbeixi Site) was excavated in 1983 in Yidu in the Chinese province of Hubei .
