from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Miaozigou site ( Chinese  庙 子沟 遗址 , Pinyin Miàozigōu yízhǐ , English Miaozigou Site ) in the Front Qahar Banner of the Right Wing ( 察哈尔 右翼 前 旗 , Chaha'er youyi qian qi ), Inner Mongolia, China, is one Neolithic site of the so-called Miaozigou Culture (English Miaozigou Culture ). It is around 5500 years old and was discovered in 1985.

The Miaozigou culture only existed for about 500 years because of the expansion of the Yangshao culture during its final stage.

The site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Inner Mongolia (5-15) since 2001 .
