The city of Chongzhou ( Chinese 崇 州市 , Pinyin Chóngzhōu Shì ), the former Chongqing District 崇庆 县, is an independent city in the sub-provincial city of Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It has an area of 1,090 km² and has around 650,000 inhabitants.
The Yanhua Pond ( Yanhua chi罨 画 池) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-395) since 2001 .
