The municipality of Xindu ( Chinese 新都 区 , Pinyin Xīndū Qū ) is a municipality in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It belongs to the administrative area of the sub-provincial city of Chengdu . Xindu has an area of 481 km² and has a population of around 600,000.
